System Audits

System Audits

Steele Water Cable provides a full range of system audit services, with safety and the integrity of our client’s signal being our focus at all times. Along with our own documented procedure for audits, any system audit can be easily adapted to meet each client’s business needs.

During system audits, our technicians check the lock boxes for any problems and contact unauthorized users to turn them into authorized, paying subscribers. During visual audits, our technicians check for any disconnections, bad fittings, unauthorized or duplicate addresses, and bad wiring. If problems are identified, they are resolved and/or reported. During tap audits, technicians check each tap and all connections at non-subscribing poles; they also install correct taps, tags, and locking terminators.

Standard Audit Services – Our team will identify and disconnect unauthorized connections, tag drop cables accordingly and terminate all open ports.

Preventative Maintenance – Our technicians who perform audits are also fully trained on installation practices. We inspect the entire drop system for GO-95 / GO-128 violations, proper ground / bonding, connector quality and weather-proofing, dwelling attachments and signal leakage. These problems are reported to our client and if necessary, repaired immediately.

Information Services – Our team collects information such as drop type, dwelling type, address verification, and competition penetration. This data is then compiled and packaged electronically for easy updating of our client’s billing system.

Enhanced Drop Identification Process – Special consideration is provided for buildings with a high volume of unidentified multi-unit drops. This may include on-site support, contacting building management and placing door tags on active units to minimize our client’s call volume.

Sales Audits – Our sales professionals will immediately follow-up with potential customers who were found to have an unauthorized connection. Our skilled team is professional in their approach, and is trained to convert unauthorized users into authorized, paying subscribers.

Full Tap Audit – During the full tap audit, our technicians climb poles to match each cable wire to its corresponding home, and they tag and disconnect unauthorized lines.

Other Audit Services –Our team will also verify and update our client’s database by identifying active, inactive and never households; condemned and vacant homes; commercial buildings and multiple dwelling units.
